Competencies

The fruit of knowledge and experience, competence is an indispensable factor in creativity. What's more, the quest for competence is a strong sign of genuine motivation.

The important thing, then, is to ensure that the skills acquired by team members serve the team first and foremost.

This is why the choice of training courses is also part of a collective decision, involving the team for the subject, and management for the resources and strategic validation.

This joint validation also has a strong interest in ensuring that training is followed up by practice in the workplace. In many companies, training is carried out without any real strategy or focus on the employee's objectives. And all too often, what is learnt is never put into practice within the company itself. It even happens that employees who have been trained in a method or technology are not involved in a program that uses this knowledge within the company. This situation is not uncommon and inevitably leads to resignation. The employee will then look for training that is useful to him personally, outside work, for his future prospecting.

Skills development is a key element of individual motivation. If properly understood, it can become a powerful systemic motivator.
